Western Shooting Horse Magazine features ‘Captain’

Because author Thomas Block has participated in Cowboy Mounted Shooting for many years, several of the magazines associated with this fast-paced equine sport have featured his newest novel, Captain.  Western Shooting Horse, a national magazine that covers many aspects of mounted shooting competitions, has done the following review of Captain in their August/September, 2012 issue.  By coincidence, the lady rider featured on the cover of that issue – Amanda Porter, a National Champion at the sport – is a practicing veterinarian who had raised from a foal and eventually sold the horse – Comet – to Thomas Block several years ago.  If you are interested in seeing more photos of Cowboy Mounted Shooting, go to the author’s Ranch website.
